Chrome plated balls need to be cleaned well enough for plating. 3 testes were completed, each with ultrasonic wash and rinse, with varying ultrasonic times and immersions. Using a 4 step wash and rinse process, with overnight immersion in diluted O.C.S. cleaner had th best results with no new rust spots.
Chrome plated balls were tested in ultrasonic with rinsing and drying, and tests was repeated twice. Diluted O.C.S. cleaner appears to give the rust protection that is is needed.
Flat plates were tested 2 times, both washed and rinsed in ultrasonic, and second test included hot air blow dry. There appeared to be no rust with or without rust inhibitor. the final test would be to plate.
