Dental Implant Cleaning

Cleaning of Stainless Steel Caps
When not cleaned well enough, a yellow stain is cause when heat treated.  When this occurs, the caps have to be abrasive tumbled to be removed.  So many caps are processed at at time it is difficult to remove all oils, drying may or may not be a problem.

Ultrasonic, rotating basket, heated forced air dryer, heated spin dryer, and air hose were used.  O.C.S. Ultrasonic solution was used and heated to 150° for all  cleaning caps

Caps should be cleaned using a slow rotating basket in ultrasonics, can be dried usesing forced hot air drying in a rotating basked at higher temperatures, or quickly in a hot air spin dryer.  Ultrafiltration may be considered to have the cleanest solution.

Implants were cleaned in 6 step process, including ultrasonic, immersion, and drying.  all parts appeared to be clean and dry.

Buffing compound removal was done with cleaning and rinsing in ultrasonic cleaner.

Using air knives followed by recirculating air improves the ultrasonics and drying vs. polypropylene holder.

A three tank system, using ultrasonic wash and a very slow rotating basket, ultrasonic rinse, hot air dry with rotating basket gives the desired results of cleaning titanium dental implants.

Cleaning dental implants and air tools to remove oils and chips is best done by spinning the soils off first, then cleaning with ultrasonics.  A rinse may not be needed.

Stainless steel caps cleaned using a slow rotting basket in ultrasonics, dried with forced hot air in a rotating basked in higher temperatures, or hot air spin dryer makes the parts oil free.  Ultrafiltration may be considered to keep the solution cleaned.
